Frequently Asked Questions

What is your treatment approach?

My approach focuses on the empowerment of my client’s to be able to act in their lives in ways that feel intrinsic to who they are. This is done through a client centered approach to treatment through the integration of a client’s medical history, mental health history, present social context, and current symptoms. After initial evaluation, treatment is then focused on providing client’s with information they need to make informed choices about their mental health with a recognition that there isn’t a one size fits all approach to each individual.

Are you able to provide both psychotherapy and medication prescriptions?

Yes, I am able to work with client’s as both a therapist and a medication prescriber. I am also able to provide psychotherapy as the only treatment and also work with client’s who already have a therapist. I also am able to refer client’s to therapists if they just want to work with me as a prescriber.

Do you work with client’s with attachment and relational challenges?

Yes, I have extensive experience working with client’s who themselves experience various attachment challenges as well as relational difficulties. This work is generally handled through psychotherapy, however brief psychotherapy can also be provided when a client is more exclusively receiving treatment through medication management services.

Do you Take Insurance?

I am not in-network with any insurance provider. However I am able to provider you with Superbills for reimbursement from your insurance company after charging your credit card. You then will need to submit the superbill to your insurance yourself in order to receive reimbursement through your insurances out of network benefits.
